Our Privacy Policy governs all forms of processing where we act as a data controller or joint controller — including the collection, use, transfer, storage, and deletion — of personally identifiable information (PII), meaning any data that can be used to identify an individual, along with any associated details. This policy applies to data collected through any channel, both actively and passively, from individuals worldwide.

Please read this policy carefully to understand what information we may collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that use.

When processing personal data, we are guided by the following principles:

  • We will collect data only for specific, clearly defined purposes, which will be explained at the point of collection.
  • We will only collect data necessary to fulfill those purposes and no more.
  • We will process your personal data only if we have a legitimate business reason to do so — such as managing your enrollment or responding to an inquiry.
  • We will not use your data for any other purpose without your prior consent, unless otherwise stated in this policy.
  • We will regularly verify and update your data, and honor any requests for correction or updates.
  • We will maintain high technical standards to ensure the security of your personal data.
  • We will not retain personally identifiable data for longer than necessary to achieve the stated purposes, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Information We Collect

We may collect your personal information in the following situations:

  • When you apply to join a course or program offered by MSM Study FZ-LLC
  • When you contact us through our website, email, phone, in person, or via social media
  • When we collaborate with you on a commercial basis
  • When you post on our social media platforms, website, or blog

Legal Bases for Processing Your Data

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on one or more of the following six legal bases to process your data: Consent, Contract, Legal Obligation, Vital Interests, Public Task, and Legitimate Interests. For full definitions, please refer to the ICO website.

We apply different legal bases depending on the purpose for which we initially collect your data:

  • Course-related inquiries and bookings: For data collected during the process of inquiry, application, and enrolment in a course (including related services such as accommodation, airport transfers, insurance, or access to our online study portal), we process your data based on Contract or Legitimate Interest, as necessary for fulfilling your request. Where legally required, we may also process this data under Legal Obligation.
  • Marketing and communication: When you sign up for blog updates, newsletters, or agree to receive messages from us on behalf of third parties, your data is processed based on Consent. Occasionally, we may tailor messages using data you have shared with us (e.g., location to notify you of relevant events). If photos or videos are taken during your participation in MSM Study FZ-LLC programs, their use is also subject to Consent.
  • Commercial partnerships: For data related to managing relationships with partners such as education agents, government bodies, or schools, we rely on Contract, Legitimate Interest, and Legal Obligation. Communications like newsletters are considered part of our Legitimate Interest in maintaining a productive business relationship.
  • Homestay recruitment and coordination: Personal data collected while recruiting or managing homestay providers is processed under Contract, Legal Obligation, and Legitimate Interest, as required to manage and sustain the working relationship.
  • Legal proceedings: We may process your personal data when necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims in any jurisdiction. The legal basis is Legitimate Interest, particularly the protection and enforcement of our rights, your rights, or the rights of others.
  • Insurance and risk management: Your personal data may also be processed to secure insurance coverage, manage operational risks, or obtain professional legal or financial advice. This is based on our Legitimate Interest in protecting our business operations.

Managing Consent and Data Usage

We aim to make it as simple as possible for you to opt out of any processing based on Consent, provided this does not limit our ability to deliver the core service you have requested.

MSM Study FZ-LLC collects data for a variety of purposes. We ensure that data is either deleted when it is no longer needed, retained only where required for legal reasons, or minimized and securely stored.

We may act as joint processors of personal data in collaboration with our international partners (such as education agents, schools, government bodies, and national sponsors). In these cases, your personal information may be transferred outside of the EU when necessary for the execution of a contract that benefits you directly — which qualifies as an exemption under the 8th principle of the GDPR. While we remain accountable for any data stored or transferred via our own systems, we are not responsible for data processed through our partners’ platforms. However, we require all overseas partners to commit to data security standards aligned with GDPR or equivalent national regulations.

We do not sell your data under any circumstances.
